Veritaz AB is looking for a **Senior GCP Platform Engineer** to join a Platform & Enablement capability within the Data & Analytics domain. The role involves designing, building, and improving cloud platform capabilities, with daily work centered on **GKE and Kubernetes**, Infrastructure as Code via Terraform, and CI/CD delivery patterns. Core responsibilities include managing GCP networking, IAM, workload identity, and cloud security, while developing reusable components and enabling developer self-service. The engineer will also support operational reliability, observability, and the onboarding of engineering teams to shared platform capabilities, collaborating across platform, data engineering, architecture, and security groups. Candidates must bring senior-level (Level 4) experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, or DevOps, backed by several years of hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform. **Hands-on Terraform and GKE** expertise, alongside strong background in cloud foundations, CI/CD automation, observability, and strong English communication skills, are required. Familiarity with GCP data services like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, as well as experience with Apache Beam, GitOps, Helm, Backstage, Python, Bash, or multi-cloud environments, is meritorious.
Assignment Description
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform expertise to strengthen a Platform & Enablement capability within the Data & Analytics domain.
The role focuses on designing and building cloud platform capabilities using GCP, GKE/Kubernetes and Terraform, with strong emphasis on automation, security, reliability, CI/CD, observability and developer self-service.
What You Will Work On
- Design, build and improve platform capabilities on Google Cloud Platform
- Work hands-on with GKE/Kubernetes and container-based workloads
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Contribute to CI/CD and GitOps delivery patterns
- Work with GCP networking, IAM, workload identity and security
- Develop reusable platform components and enable developer self-service
- Support monitoring, logging, observability and operational reliability
- Support engineering teams onboarding workloads onto the platform
- Collaborate with platform engineers, data engineers, architects and security teams
- Define technical standards, reusable patterns and platform capabilities
- Take technical ownership while remaining hands-on
What You Bring
- Senior-level experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or DevOps
