Techrytera AB is seeking a **Senior IT Architect** for a consulting assignment with an established international organisation in the energy sector. Working within the Wind Business area, the consultant will guide and shape the IT architecture landscape across onshore and offshore operations to drive digitalisation, business growth, and operational excellence. Core duties involve providing architectural leadership across business, application, data, integration, and technology domains. Key responsibilities include creating target architectures, roadmaps, and decision records, supporting **IT/OT integration and convergence**, aligning initiatives with enterprise target states, and leading governance reviews and stakeholder workshops. Candidates must have at least 5–10 years of experience in enterprise, business, or solution architecture, or in similar senior architectural roles, alongside proven experience in asset-intensive industries such as energy, utilities, manufacturing, or infrastructure. The role requires a strong understanding of frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, SAFe, or Zachman, hands-on knowledge of cloud adoption, integration, and data platforms, experience within large international organisations, and **mandatory English proficiency**. Swedish language skills are advantageous, as is background knowledge in renewable energy, wind power, Industrial IoT, SCADA, or energy trading environments.

Job Description An established international organisation within the energy sector is seeking an experienced IT Architect to support strategic and transformational initiatives within its Wind Business area. The consultant will play a key role in shaping and guiding the IT architecture landscape to enable business growth, digitalisation, and operational excellence across onshore and offshore wind operations.
The assignment involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams, enterprise architects, solution architects, and domain experts to ensure that initiatives are supported by fit-for-purpose, scalable, and future-proof architecture solutions aligned with strategic objectives and enterprise standards.
The consultant will provide architectural leadership across business, application, data, integration, and technology domains, contributing to both project delivery and long-term capability development.
Key Responsibilities
The consultant will be expected to:
- Lead and support architecture activities for strategic business initiatives and transformation programmes.
- Assess and shape business initiatives from an architectural perspective, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and target states.
- Provide expert guidance in the following areas:
- IT strategy
- Integration architecture
- Data architecture and data management
- Digitalisation and innovation initiatives
- Cloud adoption and platform strategy
- IT/OT integration and convergence
- Develop architecture deliverables, including target architectures, roadmaps, solution overviews, architecture decision records, and governance artefacts.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, standardisation, and technology optimisation.
- Support architecture governance processes, including reviews, assessments, and decision-making forums.
- Facilitate workshops and architectural discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Promote architecture best practices and contribute to the continuous development of architectural capabilities within the business domain.
Required Skills and Experience
The ideal consultant demonstrates:
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, or similar senior architectural roles.
- Proven experience working in asset-intensive industries such as energy, utilities, renewables, manufacturing, infrastructure, transportation, or telecommunications.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, SAFe, or Zachman.
- Experience with:
- Integration architecture and API-based ecosystems
- Data platforms and data governance
- Cloud technologies and hybrid architectures
- Digital transformation programmes
- Business capability modelling
- Application portfolio management
- Experience operating in large and complex international organisations.
- Ability to translate complex technical and architectural topics into clear business recommendations for management and senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across organisational boundaries.
- Languages: English is mandatory. Swedish is considered an advantage.
Meritorious Experience
The following experience is considered advantageous:
- Experience within renewable energy, utilities, wind power, offshore operations, or energy trading environments.
- IT/OT architecture and operational technology environments.
- Industrial IoT, telemetry, SCADA, and real-time operational data platforms.
- Experience supporting large-scale growth, acquisition, or transformation programmes.
