The position offers permanent employment under applicable conditions and requires **100% on-site presence** with no remote work. Working directly within assembly and manufacturing environments, the role involves resolving technical production issues, collaborating with line technicians, operators, and managers to ensure efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Core responsibilities also include developing assembly methods, work instructions, and PFMEA, as well as ensuring that the correct production tools and equipment are available at workstations. Candidates must hold a **master's degree in Production Engineering**, Supply Chain, or a related field, alongside at least five years of experience as a production engineer within assembly or manufacturing. Applicants need strong experience with Lean Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing (WCM), good working knowledge of ERP systems, and demonstrated problem-solving skills focused on continuous improvement. We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations in Västerås. You will play a key role in solving technical production challenges, developing efficient assembly processes, and driving continuous improvements across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support production by solving technical issues and improving manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with line technicians, operators, and managers to ensure production efficiency.
Develop assembly methods, work instructions, and PFMEA.
Ensure the right production tools and equipment are available at the correct workstations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing operations.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Engineer in assembly/manufacturing environments.
Master's degree in Production Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Good knowledge of ERP systems.
Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
Excellent problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset.
