Senior Software Engineer

Industri-Matematik International AB · Linköping · Tills vidare · Deadline 2026-11-22

Industri-Matematik International AB (IMI) is recruiting a **Senior Software Engineer** to build and maintain cloud-based SaaS solutions for mission-critical logistics, warehousing, and transportation processes. Primarily based in Linköping with a **hybrid working model**, the position combines hands-on engineering with direct customer collaboration throughout onboarding, integration, and ongoing maintenance. Working in a cross-functional team alongside architects, consultants, and project managers, responsibilities include translating business needs into clear specifications, designing new features, building integrations using AI tools and agents, and resolving production issues across high-volume systems built on .NET, C#, SQL, TypeScript, and Azure. Candidates must hold a **Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering**, Computer Science, or a related field, alongside several years of professional software development experience that includes making independent architecture, quality, and risk decisions. Decisive requirements include practical experience developing with AI tools, working knowledge of the core stack (.NET, C#, SQL, TypeScript), experience with integrations and customer-facing technical support, and fluency in both Swedish and English. Familiarity with supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management systems, experience from a software product company, and knowledge of Vue.js and Azure DevOps are advantageous.

Do you want to build modern software for critical logistics and transportation processes, and follow the customer all the way from need to result?

At IMI, we deliver SaaS-based solutions that support warehousing, transportation management, delivery visibility, and checkout experiences, used every day by leading retailers and logistics providers.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who understands the customer’s world, can turn needs into precise requirements, and takes responsibility for what ships. You will work the way modern teams do, with AI as a natural part of how software gets built.

About the Role

You will be a natural part of the customer’s whole journey, from onboarding new customers to supporting and maintaining existing ones. Most of your time will be spent designing, developing, and improving our products and integrations, while also supporting customers and colleagues when technical expertise is needed.

Unlike a traditional in-house development role, you will work directly with customers, particularly within integrations and technical onboarding in real-world logistics operations. You will work on new functionality, integrations, technical improvements, troubleshooting, and the continuous development of our solutions, in a cross-functional team with software engineers, architects, business consultants, and project managers.

You will work with modern SaaS platforms, cloud-native services, distributed integrations, and business-critical systems that process large volumes of transactions every day. Our solutions are built on technologies including .NET, C#, SQL, TypeScript, Azure, and modern web frameworks, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, maintainability, and continuous delivery.

Your Profile

We believe you enjoy combining software development with a customer-focused mindset. You are curious, collaborative, and motivated by solving technical challenges. You take ownership of your work, are comfortable working independently, and are proactive in improving products, processes, and ways of working.

You can turn what you learn from customers into requirements that you or others can build and test against, and you balance business value, risk, and effort with long-term sustainability. You know what good looks like, and you can tell when code is not it, including code you did not write yourself. You are not afraid to ask for help when needed and appreciate knowledge sharing within a team environment.
