Senior Software Engineer
GlobalLogic Sweden AB · Göteborg · Tills vidare · Deadline 2026-11-09
GlobalLogic Sweden AB is seeking a **Senior Software Engineer** to work as an AUTOSAR embedded software developer on a next-generation Zone Controller Platform. The position involves designing, configuring, and integrating low-level software components, including Basic Software (BSW), Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) drivers, and Application Software Components (SWCs) for embedded automotive ECUs. Core duties include writing MISRA-C compliant code, debugging on target hardware benches and simulators, and managing diagnostic modules, fault memory, and communication sequences. Work is conducted within **ASPICE software development processes** (SWE.1 to SWE.3) while ensuring full adherence to ISO 26262 functional safety and cybersecurity standards. Candidates must demonstrate strong, hands-on **proficiency in C programming** for real-time embedded systems alongside practical experience configuring and integrating AUTOSAR Classic BSW stacks, using tools such as Siemens VSTAR/CVI or Vector DaVinci. Experience with automotive microcontrollers—such as Infineon Aurix TC3xx—as well as ISO 26262 and ASPICE frameworks is required. The role also demands proficiency in C++ and Python (including Pytest), in-depth knowledge of diagnostic protocols and tools (UDS, DoIP, OBD-II, CANdelaStudio), and hands-on familiarity with testing tools like CANoe, debuggers such as TRACE32, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
We are looking for an AUTOSAR Embedded Software Developer with hands-on experience in Classic AUTOSAR software stack implementation and ECU platform development to design, configure, and integrate low-level software components for a next-generation Zone Controller Platform. In this role, you will develop and integrate Basic Software (BSW), Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL), and Application Software Components (SWCs), ensuring full adherence to ASPICE software development processes, functional safety (ISO 26262), and cybersecurity standards.
Requirements:
- Embedded C Development: Strong, hands-on proficiency in C programming for real-time embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- AUTOSAR Classic Experience: Practical experience configuring and integrating AUTOSAR Classic BSW stacks (Siemens VSTAR / CVI or Vector AUTOSAR DaVinci Configurator/Developer).
- Hardware & Microcontrollers: Hands-on experience with automotive microcontrollers (such as Infineon Aurix TC3xx).
- Process Standards (ASPICE & Safety): Practical experience working within ASPICE software engineering processes and ISO 26262 functional safety requirements.
- Development & Diagnostic Tools: Experience using automotive diagnostic/testing tools (CANoe, CANalyzer), debuggers (TRACE32/Lauterbach), and version control systems (Git, Gerrit).
- Object-Oriented & Scripting Languages: Proficiency in C++ and Python (including Pytest framework) for test automation or internal tool development.
- Configuration & CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with YAML configuration files and CI/CD build environments (Jenkins, Zuul, GitLab CI).
- AI & Engineering Productivity: Exposure to AI-assisted coding or automated code analysis tools to streamline development and debugging.
- Diagnostic Protocols & Tools: In-depth knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229), DoIP (ISO 13400), OBD-II standards, and diagnostic configuration tools (CANdelaStudio, ODX/PDX authoring tools).
- Diagnostic Stack Configuration: Configure and integrate AUTOSAR Diagnostic modules (Dcm, Dem, Fim, CanTp, DoIP), implementing UDS services (ISO 14229) and Diagnostic over IP (ISO 13400).
- Fault Memory & Event Handling: Design and test Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) management, snapshot/extended data storage, and vehicle diagnostic communication sequences.
Job responsibilities:
- AUTOSAR Software Development & Integration: Configure, develop, and integrate AUTOSAR Classic BSW modules, MCAL drivers, and Application Software Components (SWCs) for embedded automotive ECUs.
- Software Design & Verification: Write clean, MISRA-C compliant embedded software, perform unit and integration testing, and debug software issues on target hardware benches and simulators.
- Process & Quality Compliance: Develop software according to ASPICE (SWE.1 to SWE.3) software engineering lifecycle requirements, maintaining full requirement-to-code traceability.
- Defect Resolution & Continuous Integration: Investigate and resolve software defects, participate in code reviews, and integrate software builds into automated CI/CD pipelines.
