Resurs Bank is seeking a **Senior Software Engineer** to join its Customer Identity Platform team. In this role, the engineer helps build and scale the bank's AML and KYC (Anti-Money Laundering / Know Your Customer) platform, enabling secure and compliant access to banking services. Primary responsibilities center on **backend development** using Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elastic, and AWS. The day-to-day work involves designing and optimizing scalable APIs, working with data pipelines and tools like Dagster, collaborating with product owners and cross-functional teams, and regularly utilizing AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot. Candidates should be at a **Senior-to-Staff software engineer** level with solid, proven experience shipping systems to production. The role requires strong knowledge of secure system design, data protection, and observability, alongside comfortable navigating complex, evolving problem spaces. Applicants must also possess strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts to non-engineers and collaborate across teams. We are now looking for a Senior Software engineer who thrives on complex challenges and wants to play a key role in building and scaling our AML/KYC (Anti-Money Laundering / Know Your Customer) platform.

As a Senior software engineer in our team, you will:

☁️ Design, build, and optimize scalable APIs using modern AWS services and cloud-native technologies
🤖 Heavy daily user of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. Claude code, Cursor, Copilot) for accelerated delivery and evaluating correctness and security before shipping.
💻 Work heavily on backend development, working with Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Postgres db / Mongodb, GitHub, Elastic and AWS
🔗 Understand and work with data lineage, data lake and data pipeline orchestration tools like Dagster.
🏗️ Contribute to architectural solutions and can describe complex features and/or systems in detail and are able to communicate technical information effectively (written and verbal).
🤝 Collaborate with product owners, architects and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements and deliver secure and compliant services
