Nexer Telescope AB is seeking a **Senior Backend Software Engineer** (Software Developer) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs. Working within an **Agile development environment**, the role involves building microservices, developing event-driven solutions using Kafka or RabbitMQ, and deploying containerized applications to cloud platforms. Additional experience with tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, Terraform, GitHub Actions, GraphQL, or previous work in high-availability environments like banking or payment systems is considered advantageous.
Senior Backend Software Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance systems. You will work with modern backend technologies, cloud platforms, microservices, and event-driven architectures in an Agile development environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop reliable backend services and APIs
- Build scalable microservices using Java, Go, or Kotlin
- Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Improve system performance, availability, and security
- Deploy and operate containerized applications in cloud environments
- Contribute to architecture, code reviews, testing, and technical decisions
- Support CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production systems
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Several years of professional backend development experience
- Strong experience with Java, Go, or Kotlin
- Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or another cloud platform
