Qliro is seeking a **Software Engineer** to join its Checkout team, which develops and evolves checkout solutions delivering secure and smooth payment experiences for merchants and customers across the Nordics. Working in a full-stack capacity, the engineer contributes across the entire product lifecycle—from design and implementation to testing, release, and maintenance—while participating in architectural discussions and code reviews. The role leverages modern AI-assisted tools alongside a tech stack centered on .NET, React, Redux, AWS, SQL, DynamoDB, and Terraform. The work combines remote flexibility with in-person office collaboration, and includes participation in an **on-call rotation** with extra compensation. Applicants must be **experienced software engineers** who are confident working across both frontend and backend technologies, either within Qliro’s specific stack or comparable environments. Candidates need to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing; Swedish is not required. A pragmatic curiosity regarding AI tools to support engineering practices is expected, while prior technical or non-technical background in payments, e-commerce, or financial institutions is considered a strong advantage.

What we are looking for
We are opening a Software Engineer position in our Checkout team, responsible for building and evolving checkout solutions for our merchants, while ensuring a safe and simple payment experience for their customers. You will join a full‑stack team that values innovation, collaboration, and having fun at work.
Our tech stack includes:

✅ Observability with Grafana and Kibana

You can expect to:
- Work on a variety of exciting payment‑related projects, processing millions in SEK every day for thousands of customers, with a strong focus on usability, scalability, and security.
- Use technologies such as .NET, React, Redux, AWS, GitLab, Terraform, and more.
- Work with modern, AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude to improve productivity, code quality, and collaboration.
- Contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Take part in architectural discussions and drive technical improvements.
- Collaborate continuously: we strongly believe in teamwork, thoughtful code reviews and shared ownership.

What we are looking for:
- You are an experienced software engineer who takes ownership, drives initiatives, collaborates closely with stakeholders, and actively contributes to architectural discussions and technical decision‑making.
- You have experience with our tech stack or similar technologies and are confident working across both frontend and backend.
- You are curious and pragmatic about AI, and enjoy exploring how tools like Claude can be used to support better engineering practices and decision‑making.
- You value knowledge sharing and see learning and helping each other grow as a natural part of teamwork.
- You are willing to participate in the team’s on‑call rotation (with extra compensation).
- Experience from financial institutions, payments, or e‑commerce, whether technical or non‑technical, is a strong advantage.
- You communicate fluently and confidently in English, both verbally and in writing. Swedish is not a prerequisite.
