Veritaz AB is seeking a **Software Platform Engineer** for a mid-to-senior platform and DevSecOps assignment. The role focuses on building reusable, extensible, and secure platform solutions, developing Golden Paths, and enhancing the overall developer experience and engineering productivity. Core duties involve creating and maintaining **cloud-native solutions**, automating development and deployment processes, and applying secure-by-design and DevSecOps principles. Additionally, the engineer will experiment with AI, large language models, agents, and MCP to explore AI-driven improvements across software development workflows. Candidates must have a minimum of **five years of relevant experience** alongside strong DevSecOps fundamentals and an agile mindset. The position requires hands-on experience with Azure, Docker, Terraform, Git-based workflows, and either Kubernetes or OpenShift, as well as CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and scripting with Bash or PowerShell. Applicants should bring software engineering proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or React, coupled with experience in or a strong conceptual understanding of AI in software development. Experience with Backstage or Internal Developer Platforms is also expected.

Assignment Description
We are looking for a mid-to-senior Platform / DevSecOps Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Build reusable, extensible and secure platform solutions
- Develop and improve Golden Paths for engineering teams
- Build and experiment with AI, LLMs, agents and MCP
- Explore AI-driven improvements to software development workflows
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand pain points
- Develop solutions that improve developer experience
- Continuously improve existing platform capabilities based on user feedback
- Build and maintain cloud-native solutions
- Automate development and deployment processes
- Apply DevSecOps and secure-by-design principles
- Take ownership of ideas and drive them from concept to implementation
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong DevSecOps fundamentals and mindset
- Hands-on experience with:
- Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Azure
- Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
- Docker
- Terraform
- Bash and/or PowerShell
- Git-based workflows
- Software engineering experience with Python, TypeScript and/or React
- Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles
