APR Technologies AB is recruiting a **Space Test Engineer** to specify, plan, execute, and document functional, performance, and environmental test campaigns across the product development lifecycle. The position focuses on ensuring that products meet system requirements and qualification standards for high-performance thermal management and liquid cooling applications. Core duties include developing test procedures, setups, and instrumentation plans, offering design feedback for verifiability, and operating thermal and environmental test equipment such as chillers, heaters, environmental chambers, and **thermal-vacuum facilities**. The engineer supports verification planning, FMEA, risk assessments, and the correlation of test results with thermal models, while collaborating closely with project teams, external test laboratories, and suppliers. Applicants must hold an **engineering degree or equivalent** alongside proven hardware testing experience and a strong background in test methods, instrumentation, and data analysis. The position requires professional fluency in English, strong communication skills, and the demonstrated ability to write clear test protocols and reports. Prior testing experience from space projects, familiarity with ECSS standards, proficiency in test automation (particularly with Python), and experience working with fluid, thermal, or pressurized systems are considered advantageous.
About the role:
As a Space Test Engineer at APR Technologies you will specify, plan and execute functional, performance, and environmental test campaigns throughout the product development lifecycle. You ensure that products meet system requirements and qualification standards, collaborating closely with project teams, external test laboratories and suppliers.
Key responsibilities:
- Specify, plan, execute, and document functional, performance, and environmental test campaigns throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop test procedures, test setups, and instrumentation plans based on system requirements.
- Provide input during the design phase to ensure that the design is verifiable.
- Operate thermal and environmental test equipment, including thermal chambers, environmental chambers, chillers, heaters, and thermal-vacuum facilities.
- Ensure accurate data collection, calibration, and analysis of test results while maintaining traceability between requirements and verification activities.
- Support verification planning, FMEA, and risk assessments.
- Identify and resolve issues during testing and system integration.
- Produce high-quality test documentation, including procedures, test reports, and verification control documents.
- Work with thermal engineers in correlating test results with thermal models.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, external test laboratories, and suppliers to plan, execute, and validate test activities.

What you bring:
