Lendo is recruiting a **Staff Engineer** for its Product & Tech organization, in a process managed by recruitment partner Ada Digital (part of TNG Group AB). Joining the Product & Tech leadership team alongside engineering managers and the Head of Technology, the role shapes technical strategy, overarching architecture, and engineering standards across multiple agile teams. Core responsibilities include facilitating the Tech Lead forum, collaborating early with Product on scalable solutions, mentoring engineers across backend and frontend, and remaining **connected to hands-on engineering** through prototyping, coding, and resolving complex technical challenges. The position also supports teams with resilience, security, operational risk, and major incidents, while exploring AI and modern technologies alongside Data/ML specialists. Applicants require extensive experience in software engineering, architecture, or an equivalent senior technical role, paired with **deep architectural expertise** across multi-team setups. Candidates must bring experience with cloud environments, ideally GCP, alongside tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform, as well as hands-on knowledge or a strong understanding of Golang, TypeScript, and/or React. Strong communication skills and a proven ability to balance high-level strategic alignment with pragmatic, hands-on delivery are essential. Previous background in regulated or high-trust environments and collaboration with Data/ML teams are considered advantageous.

Your Challenge
As Staff Engineer, you will be part of the Product & Tech leadership team, working closely with Engineering Managers, the Head of Technology and other key stakeholders to drive technical direction across Product & Tech. You will act as a trusted technical advisor across our engineering organization, helping teams make sound technical decisions while staying connected to hands-on engineering and solving complex challenges.
You will:
- Own and evolve Lendo´s technical strategy, architecture and engineering standards.
- Set technical direction across multiple agile teams and create alignment around architecture and ways of working.
- Facilitate our Tech Lead forum and drive cross-team technical initiatives.
- Work with Product from an early stage to turn business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Stay hands-on when needed through coding, prototyping and technical problem-solving.
- Mentor engineers and act as a technical sounding board across backend and frontend.
- Participate in technical skills assessments of engineers, helping ensure a consistent and high technical standard across the organization.
- Support teams in areas such as resilience, security, operational risk and major technical incidents.
- Work closely with our Data/ML team and explore how AI and modern technologies can create business value.

About You
We are looking for a senior engineer with a strong architectural mindset who enjoys solving complex problems and influencing others through technical expertise rather than formal authority.
You have:
- Extensive experience in software engineering, architecture or a similar senior technical role.
- Strong knowledge of modern software architecture and experience working across multiple teams.
- Experience with cloud environments, ideally GCP, and technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Experience with or a strong understanding of Golang, TypeScript and/or React.
- The ability to move comfortably between strategic technical discussions and hands-on engineering.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to turn complex technical topics into clear decisions and actions.
- A pragmatic approach to balancing technical quality, business value and speed.
- A genuine interest in AI and modern technology.
Experience from a regulated or high-trust environment and/or working closely with Data/ML teams is a plus.
Most importantly, you are curious, collaborative and pragmatic. You take ownership, challenge existing solutions when needed and enjoy helping both people and technology move forward.
