System Safety Architect
Coretura AB · Göteborg · Tills vidare · Deadline 2026-11-04
Coretura AB is seeking a **System Safety Architect** to take ownership of the safety architecture, safety strategy, and safety case for its next-generation commercial vehicle software platform. Working closely with engineering teams, the role involves defining safety concepts and mechanisms, allocating them across compute hardware, operating systems, middleware, and platform services, and making system-level decisions. The architect defends technical choices in discussions with engineers, customers, assessors, and leadership, while mentoring teams in safety-driven design and balancing safety requirements against cybersecurity, performance, cost, and delivery constraints. Applicants must have proven experience creating, owning, and defending safety cases that have supported product release in automotive or another safety-critical industry. Decisive qualifications include **deep knowledge of ISO 26262** or an equivalent standard across the full lifecycle, a track record of defining and reviewing safety architectures for mixed-criticality systems, and strong communication skills in English. Final candidates must successfully pass a **mandatory background check and drug testing** before a formal job offer can be extended.
Join the Revolution in Commercial Vehicle Tech at Coretura!
At Coretura we build the software platform at the heart of next-generation commercial vehicles. Our customers build their vehicle-level safety arguments on top of what we deliver, which means safety can’t be added at the end. It has to be part of the architecture from day one. We’re looking for a System Safety Architect who wants to make that happen.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll own the platform safety architecture, safety strategy and safety case. You’ll define safety concepts and mechanisms and allocate them across compute, operating systems, middleware and platform services.
This is a hands-on role close to the engineering work. You’ll make system-level decisions and stand behind them in conversations with engineers, customers, assessors and leadership. You’ll also guide and mentor our teams in safety-driven design, helping make safety a natural part of how we build.
We believe you bring
Experience creating, owning and defending safety cases that have supported product release in automotive or another safety-critical industry. You have strong communication skills in English, with the ability to make complex safety topics clear to both technical and non-technical audiences.
To thrive in this role, you also have:
- Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 or an equivalent standard across the full safety lifecycle
- A track record of defining and reviewing safety architectures for mixed-criticality systems
- The ability to balance safety against cybersecurity, performance, cost and delivery constraints
Why Coretura?
At Coretura you’ll have real influence over a platform that ends up in vehicles on the road. Safety isn’t a box to tick at the end of a project here. It’s a core part of how we design and deliver, and your work will shape decisions across the entire platform.
You’ll join an environment where technical depth is valued and where architects are trusted to make the hard calls. You’ll work alongside skilled engineers who care about getting things right, and you’ll have the opportunity to shape not only the safety architecture but also how the role and the safety work evolve as the platform grows.
