System Verification Engineer

Alten Sverige Aktiebolag is proactively seeking a **System Verification Engineer** to support future assignments with clients in the automotive industry. In this role, engineers take ownership of end-to-end functionality across complex technical environments. Daily tasks involve conducting system-level and embedded software testing, developing and improving verification approaches, and performing both exploratory and requirement-based tests. The work also includes **hands-on verification** using test environments, test rigs, or target platforms, supporting the creation of simulations and test utilities, and documenting quality status and test results within cross-functional teams. Candidates must have verified experience in **embedded systems testing** alongside practical familiarity with Linux-based environments. Selection requires an understanding of system-level testing workflows, experience working within agile or Scrum setups, and very good written and spoken English. Additional merit is given to applicants experienced with automotive software, embedded platforms, or complex, centralized ECU systems. Familiarity with test automation frameworks, scripting, simulation tools, or CI/CD pipelines and test management systems is also advantageous.

Main responsibilities
- Perform verification on system level and/or embedded software
- Develop, execute, and improve test methods and verification approaches
- Perform exploratory and requirement-based testing
- Work hands-on with test environments, rigs, or target platforms
- Support development of simulations and test utilities
- Document verification results, test methods, and quality status
- Take responsibility for verification of selected end-to-end functions
Your profile
You are a structured and analytical engineer who enjoys hands-on verification and system-level problem solving. You are comfortable working in cross-functional, agile teams and take ownership of your work from planning to delivery.
We see that you have:
- Experience from verification or test work in embedded systems
- Experience working with Linux-based environments
- Familiarity with system-level testing and verification workflows
- Experience working in agile or Scrum-based development teams
- Very good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Meritorious experience
It is considered a merit if you have experience with one or more of the following:
- Verification of complex or centralized ECU systems
- Automotive software or embedded platforms
- Test automation frameworks or scripting
- Simulation tools or test environments
- CI/CD pipelines, integration, or test management tools
