Technical Lead
HCL Technologies Sweden AB · Helsingborg · Tills vidare · Deadline 2026-11-28
HCL Technologies Sweden AB is recruiting a **Technical Lead** to serve as a Blue Yonder Technical Lead and Solution Architect. The role is responsible for **end-to-end technical architecture** across Enterprise Supply Planning (ESP) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) environments. Core duties include translating complex planning requirements into scalable technical designs, defining data architecture and batch processing, leading design reviews, and establishing engineering standards. The position also guides development teams, drives performance optimization and root cause analysis across application and database layers, and ensures robust integrations between Blue Yonder, Oracle, and surrounding enterprise systems. Applicants must have strong hands-on technical experience with **Blue Yonder/JDA solutions**, with deep expertise in ESP or SCM alongside a solid grasp of supply planning concepts. Decisive requirements include proven enterprise-level solution architecture capability, strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL knowledge, experience in complex application integrations, and the ability to mentor developers and lead design reviews. The employer seeks an overall background of approximately 10–12 years, preferably including at least six years within the Blue Yonder/JDA ecosystem, significant hands-on planning experience, and prior technical team leadership.
We are looking for an experienced Blue Yonder Technical Lead / Solution Architect with deep expertise in Enterprise Supply Planning (ESP) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions.
The role will be responsible for defining the end-to-end technical solution architecture, translating supply-chain planning requirements into scalable Blue Yonder solutions, leading technical design and development, and ensuring seamless integration between Blue Yonder, Oracle and the surrounding enterprise application landscape.
The ideal candidate should combine strong Blue Yonder technical expertise, supply-chain planning knowledge, solution architecture capability and hands-on technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Blue Yonder Solution Architecture
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture for Blue Yonder ESP and SCM solutions.
- Translate complex business and supply-chain planning requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Define solution architecture covering:
- Blue Yonder ESP / SCM
- Data architecture
- Interfaces and integrations
- Batch processing
- Oracle database components
- Upstream and downstream systems
- Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend appropriate technical approaches.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, supportable and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Perform technical impact assessments for major enhancements and architectural changes.
2. Blue Yonder ESP & SCM Expertise
The Technical Lead should have strong hands-on knowledge of Blue Yonder/JDA supply-planning solutions, particularly:
- Enterprise Supply Planning (ESP)
- Supply planning and optimization concepts
- Supply and capacity constraints
- Inventory and material availability
- Production and distribution planning
- Planning hierarchies and master data
- Planning parameters and configuration
- Exception handling and planning outputs
- Integration of supply-planning results with downstream applications
The expectation is not simply functional familiarity. The candidate should understand how the planning solution is technically configured, integrated, extended and supported.
3. Technical Leadership
- Lead technical design and development activities for ESP/SCM enhancements and projects.
- Provide technical direction to Blue Yonder developers and support engineers.
- Review technical specifications, solution designs and code.
- Establish and enforce development standards and engineering best practices.
- Guide developers through complex technical problems.
- Review estimates and technical approaches for requirements and change requests.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies and architectural constraints.
- Work closely with functional leads to ensure that business requirements are translated into technically sound solutions.
4. Oracle SQL / PL/SQL & Data Architecture
- Provide design guidance for Oracle SQL and PL/SQL components supporting Blue Yonder solutions.
- Review complex:
- SQL queries
- PL/SQL packages
- Procedures
- Functions
- Views
- MERGE/data transformation logic
- Design approaches for processing large planning datasets.
- Guide database performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Ensure appropriate data-validation, reconciliation, error-handling and logging mechanisms are incorporated into the solution.
For this Technical Lead role, I would expect the candidate to be capable of reviewing and challenging PL/SQL designs, even if developers perform much of the day-to-day coding.
5. Integration Architecture
- Define integration patterns between Blue Yonder and upstream/downstream enterprise applications.
- Design and review inbound and outbound data interfaces.
- Ensure appropriate sequencing, dependencies, validation and reconciliation of planning data.
- Troubleshoot complex cross-application integration issues.
- Work with integration, database and application teams on end-to-end solution design.
- Ensure failures can be effectively monitored, diagnosed and recovered.
6. Performance & Technical Troubleshooting
- Lead resolution of complex technical and production issues.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks across the:
- Blue Yonder application
- Oracle database
- Batch processing
- Data interfaces
- Planning processes
- Lead technical RCA for critical or recurring incidents.
- Identify permanent corrective solutions rather than relying on operational workarounds.
- Support planning-cycle stability and performance improvements.
7. Design Governance & Engineering Quality
- Own/review High-Level and Low-Level Technical Designs.
- Conduct architecture and technical design reviews.
- Ensure adherence to coding and configuration standards.
- Review implementation approaches for major enhancements.
- Identify architectural debt and recommend remediation.
- Ensure adequate unit, integration and performance testing is included within technical solutions.
- Support deployment planning and production-readiness reviews.
8. Stakeholder & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Act as the technical bridge between business, functional consultants, development teams, infrastructure/integration teams and enterprise architects.
- Explain complex Blue Yonder technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in requirement workshops and solution-design discussions.
- Challenge requirements or designs where they introduce unnecessary complexity, technical risk or performance concerns.
- Support estimation and technical planning for projects and enhancements.
