Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is looking for a **vCloud Application Manager** to lead the evolution, strategy, and operational performance of its enterprise vCloud environment. In this role, the manager oversees capacity planning, platform roadmaps, and resource forecasting, while serving as the technical lead for architectural decisions, complex troubleshooting, and continuous platform upgrades. Responsibilities also include designing and maintaining virtual data centers, vApps, and templates, establishing governance and role-based access frameworks, standardizing operational procedures, and mentoring support teams and end users. The position offers **hybrid work** possibilities by agreement with the line manager. Candidates must hold a **bachelor's degree** in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, accompanied by fluent written and spoken English communication skills. Required competencies include proven experience managing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise cloud platforms—preferably within VMware vCloud environments—alongside strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, networking, storage, and security principles. Applicants must also have practical experience with capacity planning, governance frameworks, and technical familiarity across VMware technologies such as vSphere, vRealize Operations, and vCloud Director, as well as PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, and physical server infrastructure.

You will play a key role in defining the roadmap for our vCloud services, driving continuous improvements, and providing technical leadership across the organization. How you´ll make an impact
- Lead the vCloud platform strategy, roadmap, capacity planning, resource forecasting, and performance management across the organization.
- Act as the technical lead for complex platform issues, architectural decisions, upgrades, and continuous improvement of the vCloud environment.
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise-scale vCloud organizations, virtual data centers, vApps, templates, and media resources.
- Develop and manage access control frameworks, administrative rights models, and security practices to ensure secure and compliant operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish governance frameworks, RACI models, operational standards, and resource allocation guidelines.
- Define, document, and maintain best practices, operational procedures, and technical standards for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Support, mentor, and enable administrators, support teams, and end users to maximize platform adoption and effective use of vCloud capabilities.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere, vRealize Operations, vCloud Director, vCloud Usage Meter, physical servers, TCP/IP, Active Directory, DNS, PowerShell scripting, HPC, Hyper-V, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) concepts.
- Proven experience managing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise cloud platforms, preferably in VMware vCloud environments.
- Great understanding of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, networking, storage, security, and access management principles.
- Experience with capacity planning, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and cloud governance practices.
- Experience developing operational processes, technical standards, governance models, and role-based access control frameworks.
- Great English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
