Vice President, Group Tax

Sandvik Aktiebolag · Stockholm · Tills vidare · Deadline 2026-11-12

Sandvik Aktiebolag is recruiting a **Vice President, Group Tax** to lead its global tax organization from Stockholm. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the role entails shaping the Group’s tax strategy, anticipating shifts in OECD, EU, and local regulations, and advising executive leadership on major cross-border issues, legal structures, and audits. Responsibilities include overseeing transfer pricing governance, supporting acquisitions and integrations, and directing a team of around 15 specialists at Group level covering international tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and tax control, while collaborating closely with dedicated local tax professionals worldwide. The position requires extensive experience in **international corporate tax** within a complex global business, combined with strong people leadership skills and fluency in English. Candidates must have a proven track record of advising senior finance and business leaders on complex tax risks, alongside broad expertise in transfer pricing and emerging tax frameworks. Prior experience gained in a senior Group Tax role within a large, listed multinational is ideal, while experience in M&A integration or a background in tax advisory combined with corporate leadership serves as **an advantage**.

As Vice President Group Tax, you shape Sandvik’s global tax strategy and lead an experienced international team. This is a strategic leadership role where sound judgement, business understanding and the ability to influence decisions are as important as broad international tax expertise.

You join a well-established function with strong processes, experienced colleagues and trusted relationships across the business. Your opportunity is to build on this foundation, anticipate an evolving international tax landscape and ensure tax considerations support Sandvik’s strategic priorities.

Your mission

You set the direction for Group Tax, translating complex international tax developments into clear priorities and practical advice for the business and team. Working closely with the Group CFO, business areas and other senior stakeholders, you balance tax risks, commercial opportunities and the Group’s long-term interests. Ensuring compliance with regulations is essential, but focus is also on strategic oversight, leadership and sound decision-making.

You lead a highly qualified and experienced global tax function of around 15 professionals at Group level, covering international tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, tax control and regional tax. Sandvik Group also has dedicated tax professionals in a number of countries, and you work closely with these local tax experts to ensure strong alignment between the Group tax strategy and local execution, including operational and compliance-related tax matters. You empower experienced specialists and managers, build strong relationships across the organization and make complex tax topics understandable to senior decision-makers.

You report to the EVP & Chief Financial Officer of Sandvik Group. As a member of the Group Finance Management Team as well as the extended Finance Management Team (including business areas), you contribute to a Group-wide perspective and act as a trusted advisor on complex cross-border matters.
