Working within automotive development, the role focuses on designing electrical wiring harnesses and installation solutions for buses while ensuring designs comply with technical requirements, packaging constraints, and project specifications. Responsibilities include leading component installation and media routing activities, performing 2D electrical wiring design, developing routing solutions for power cables, pneumatic pipes, and brake hoses, and documenting designs. The engineer will also evaluate solutions, support PIL activities, and collaborate across project teams within Platform Development. Applicants should hold a **master's degree in Electrical Engineering**, Engineering Physics, or a related field, and/or several years of relevant professional experience. Required competencies include **strong knowledge of Saber** for 2D wiring design, solid experience with CATIA V5 specifically for wiring harness and power cable routing, experience with media routing, and professional fluency in English. Leadership capability and a structured approach to technical challenges are essential. Experience with Volvo Group systems and development processes, familiarity with KOLA documentation, and background in complex vehicle development projects are advantageous.

About the Role
Integro Consulting is looking for a Senior Wiring & Harness Engineer to join our client's team in Gothenburg. In this role, you will contribute to the development of electrical wiring harnesses and installation solutions for buses, ensuring that designs meet technical requirements, packaging constraints and project specifications.
You will work closely with project teams and other engineers within Platform Development to develop new solutions, improve existing designs and ensure high-quality technical documentation. The role also involves taking the lead in component installation and media routing activities, contributing your technical expertise and supporting project teams in solving complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical wiring harnesses and installation solutions for buses.
- Lead and support component installation and media routing activities.
- Develop and document new design solutions using KAP and CATIA V5.
- Investigate and evaluate existing and new technical solutions documented in KOLA and CATIA.
- Perform electrical wiring design using Saber, including 2D wiring design.
- Develop and manage routing and packaging solutions for electrical wiring harnesses and power cables.
- Work with other media routing requirements, including pneumatic pipes and brake hoses.
- Support PIL activities and implement design adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with project teams and Platform Development to ensure that solutions meet technical requirements and project objectives.
- Take ownership of technical challenges and lead activities when required.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented engineer with the ability to take responsibility and drive engineering activities forward.
Required qualifications:
- A master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or a related field, and/or several years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of Saber for 2D wiring design.
- Good knowledge of CATIA V5, particularly electrical wiring harness and power cable routing and packaging.
- Experience with media routing solutions, such as electrical harnesses, pneumatic pipes or brake hoses.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach to engineering.
- A high level of commitment, accuracy and ownership.
- Leadership skills and the ability to take the lead in technical activities and projects.
- Professional fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with Volvo Group systems and development processes.
- Familiarity with KOLA and related engineering documentation.
- Experience developing and maintaining electrical installation solutions in complex vehicle development projects.
