Terms & Conditions

Fair terms, plainly written.

These terms govern your use of Hejobb. We have kept them as short and readable as a legal document allows, because you should be able to understand what you agree to without a law degree.

Last updated 24 October 2026

At a glance

  • Free plan, optional upgrades

    Hejobb has a free plan. Pro and Pro+ are optional, and you see the price before you pay anything.

  • Your CV stays yours

    You own your profile and CV. We only get the licence needed to run the service for you.

  • Recommendations, not promises

    Match scores help you prioritise. They are not career advice and never a guarantee of employment.

  • Swedish law

    The agreement is governed by Swedish law, and your statutory consumer rights always remain intact.

The agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Effati Consulting AB, a Swedish company with its registered office at Tränsgatan 3, 183 74 Täby, Sweden (effati.se), which operates the Hejobb service ("Hejobb", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using Hejobb, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Hejobb.

What Hejobb is

Hejobb gathers job openings from the career pages of Swedish universities and university colleges and from Arbetsförmedlingen's open job ads data into one place, and uses AI to match them against your profile and CV, so you can spend less time searching and more time on the applications that matter.

Hejobb is a discovery and matching tool. We are not a recruitment agency, employment agency or employer, we take no part in hiring decisions, and we are not a party to any application or employment relationship between you and an employer.

Hejobb has a free plan and optional paid subscriptions, Pro and Pro+, that add features such as the full match digest, instant match alerts and more CV profiles. The price and what each plan includes are shown before you subscribe, and you are only charged for a plan you choose and pay for.

Subscriptions, payment and refunds

The core Hejobb service is free. You only pay if you choose a paid plan.

  • Plans and prices. The paid plans, Pro and Pro+, and their current prices are shown on our pricing page. Prices are in Swedish kronor (SEK) and exclude VAT. VAT is added at checkout at the rate that applies to you, and you see the total before you pay.
  • Payment. Payment is handled by Stripe. Hejobb never sees or stores your card number.
  • Renewal. A plan runs for the term you choose and renews automatically at the end of each term, at the price shown on your billing page, unless you cancel before then.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your billing page.
  • Within 14 days of purchase. If you cancel within 14 days of buying a plan, we refund the full amount and your access ends immediately. This is your right of withdrawal for purchases made at a distance.
  • After 14 days. There is no refund. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and the plan does not renew.
  • Deleting your account cancels your subscription under the same rule: within 14 days of purchase we refund the full amount, after that there is no refund, and in both cases your access ends at once.

Your account

You sign in to Hejobb with Google, LinkedIn, or your email and a password. Keep your password to yourself; if you forget it, you can reset it through a link we email you.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate information in your profile and keep it up to date;
  • keep control of your password and of the email account and sign-in providers you use with Hejobb, since anyone with access to them can access your Hejobb account;
  • use one personal account and not share it with others, and
  • notify us at privacy@hejobb.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You can delete your account at any time, yourself in the app or by emailing privacy@hejobb.com. Deleting it cancels any subscription as described under Subscriptions, payment and refunds, and removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your content and licence to us

Your CV and profile information remain yours. You retain all ownership rights in the content you provide.

So that Hejobb can work, you grant Effati Consulting AB a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to store, process and analyse your content solely to provide and improve the service for you. That includes processing by the AI providers described in the Privacy Policy. The licence ends when you delete your content or your account, subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the content you upload. You confirm that it is truthful, that it is about you, and that sharing it with us does not violate anyone else's rights. Do not upload another person's personal data without their permission, and do not include especially sensitive information (such as health data) that a job match does not require.

AI recommendations

Hejobb's match scores and profile suggestions are generated with the help of AI. They are informational recommendations only:

  • A match score expresses estimated relevance. It is not an assessment of your qualifications, your chances, or the employer's requirements.
  • AI-extracted profile fields may contain mistakes; always review them before relying on them.
  • Recommendations are not career, legal or financial advice, and no match, however strong, is a promise of an interview or employment.

Decisions about applying are yours; decisions about hiring belong to employers. We work continuously to improve match quality but cannot guarantee that every relevant role is shown to you or that every shown role is relevant.

Job listings and third parties

Job listings on Hejobb are collected from the public career pages of Swedish universities and university colleges (published through recruitment platforms such as Varbi and ReachMee) and from Arbetsförmedlingen's open job ads data (JobStream, published under CC0). The listings belong to the employers that published them.

Job listings are public pages: anyone can view them without an account, and search engines may index them. Ads can name contact persons and their work email or phone number, as published by the employer, and Hejobb shows them as part of the public ad. Links to the employer's original ad and application page are shown to signed-in members.

  • We strive to present listings accurately and keep them current, but the employer's original posting always takes precedence if details differ (including deadlines).
  • Applications are made on the employer's own site, under the employer's terms, and Hejobb never handles your application.
  • We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party sites you reach through Hejobb.

Acceptable use

When using Hejobb you agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • misrepresent your identity or upload content about someone else without their consent;
  • scrape, harvest or bulk-download content or data from the service, or access it by automated means other than the interfaces we provide;
  • probe, disrupt or overload the service, attempt to bypass security measures, or reverse engineer the software except where the law expressly permits it;
  • resell or commercially exploit the service without our written agreement.

We may suspend accounts that put the service or other users at risk while we investigate.

Intellectual property

The Hejobb service, including its software, design, name and branding, is owned by Effati Consulting AB or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service; they transfer no ownership.

Job listings remain the property of the publishing employers. Your content remains yours, as described above.

Availability and changes to the service

We want Hejobb to be available whenever you need it, but we cannot promise uninterrupted, error-free operation. We may change, add or remove features, and perform maintenance that temporarily limits availability.

If we ever decide to discontinue Hejobb entirely, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your data first.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Hejobb and delete your account at any time, in the app or by emailing privacy@hejobb.com, without notice or cost. If you have a paid plan, deleting your account cancels it under the refund rule in Subscriptions, payment and refunds.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or if the account is involved in abuse of the service. Where reasonable, we will warn you and give you a chance to respond first.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply after the agreement ends. These include intellectual property, liability and governing law.

Disclaimers and liability

Hejobb is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by Swedish law:

  • we make no warranties about the completeness or accuracy of job listings or match recommendations;
  • we are not liable for hiring outcomes, missed opportunities or decisions you or employers make based on the service;
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for events beyond our reasonable control;
  • for any claim connected to the service, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, on the free plan, is zero).

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, including liability for intent or gross negligence.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are resolved by Swedish courts, with Attunda District Court (Attunda tingsrätt) as the court of first instance. Mandatory consumer protection rules may still give you the right to bring the matter before the courts of your home country.

If you are a consumer, you can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, arn.se).

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email in advance; continuing to use Hejobb after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, delete your account before they take effect.

Questions about these Terms are welcome at privacy@hejobb.com.
