Overview
The Institute for Futures Studies is an independent research foundation based in Stockholm. It began in 1973 as a secretariat under the Swedish Prime Minister's Office and became an independent institution in 1987. Its interdisciplinary research addresses long-term social change, drawing on sociology, philosophy, political science, economics and psychology.
